AOL buys SingingFish. Note to AOL: you can't buy your way out of strategy decay. Competences are deep organizational learning. You can't acquire, for example, the learning capability that's embedded in Google's social and intellectual capital, and which drives it's technological competence to repeated advantage.

This is a really bad move - worse than a waste of money, because the opportunity cost also should factor in the integration costs of the acquisition.
