Mike Robertson pleads with Vivendi to give permission for Archive.org to capture MP3.com's music archive. Vivendi wants it destroyed before MP3.com's sold to Cnet.
I discussed this earlier, calling it a major opportunity for either Cnet or Vivendi to build real credibility in consumers' eyes - rare, and thus valuable. Of course, it's also a major opportunity for anyone that wants to attack Vivendi or Cnet's credibility in the music market either now or in the future.
