The Nick Denton hype continues, this time reaching a fever pitch in the NYT. If you don't already know, he's set up a group of niche blogs, including FleshBot and Gizmodo.

Interestingly, he admits that he has little idea about how to effectively monetize these, saying that they're producing little revenue. What can we conclude from the hype: people are dying for tech to be cool again, like it always was (until the invasion of the beancounters).
