Red Hat's decision to yank free support for consumer distros, but keep providing it for corporate and pre-release ones has really alienated it's community.
It's a valid move in the short term, but surely they could have done a better job of negotiation. Alienating your user base (even if they don't provide you immediate revenue) is destructive in the long-term, because they are your windows to the future - and also your early-warning signal of strategy decay.
