Everyone's raving about this optimistic forecast for the PC and semiconductor markets. So what?

The growth is coming at a hugely steep cost: massive price competition, massive vertical expansion by incumbents, and little innovation. It's kind of like eating your own leg to get past the finish line. What might be good news is the creation of entirely new markets driven by discontinuous innovation - WiMax is a nice start.
