Strategy Vs Finance Day, Pt 2

Part of the problem is that the beancounters think that the market values a firm is a simple proxy for strategic success/failure at that moment. It's not that simple.

In fact, the way the market values a firm is at least as much a proxy for the market's take on the future expected success/failure of it's strategy.
