A bit about Toshiba's 1.8 inch 40GB drive. Toshiba's 4GB 1-inch drive. Blah, blah, blah.

Cool, but what's really needed are people to embed these basic technologies in things other people value - like iPods. There's no shortage of basic technologies waiting to be recombined and mutated into really cool things. The examples are everywhere - cameraphones, PTT, the PSX, etc.
