iLife gets a less than sparkling review. I think Pegoraro is missing the point completely.
I was on the tube yesterday, and overheard this guy telling his girlfriend how, at the office, with no previous music production experience, they'd used Garageband to make a bunch of goofy tunes making fun of his boss. They were amazed that they could easily mix these to become techno, jazz, etc, and with how professional their goofy tunes sounded.
Now this, it seemed to me, was strategy working: Apple's vision is to bring sophisticated AV technology to the masses - and that's exactly what this guy and his buddies wanted, got, and were delighted with.
