The cooling of Jesus. Actually, no. The Jesus meme was picked up a year or two back by the hipsters as an ironic commentary on the religiosity of the Bible Belt (it was part of the whole 'white trash' meme, which was an ironic take on rural America - pls excuse my french). The strange bit is that this went right over the top of the heads of the corporate superstructure, the Christian community, and in this case, Fox News. So now hardcore Christians are buying 'Jesus is my Homeboy T-shirts' and missing the irony. Of course, one could also argue that they're removing the irony, in a great example of cultural user innovation.
