NYT covers do-it-yourself print kiosks. Photo companies and retailers had it wrong ever since they thought customers wanted to print the whole roll. Not having to wait 45-60 minutes regardless, and being able to print 24/7 (given certain convenience stores, at least in Japan) - now that's disruptive.
