Marketing 2.0 - Virals

Really bad NYT article extolling silly virals - recommended to understand exactly why this market will fail: gimmicks are short-term fixes, and industry needs a long-term solution.

Just to wave away the whole viral idea seem a little too easy on my behalf. There's a lot of really bad virals out there but the idea is not bad. Although there is almost impossible to prove the effect through the ordinary ways, there is just another tool in the marketing tool-box. And as all tools it has to be handled with skill.
