Politics of the Day
Jonah Goldberg thinks blogging isn't a revolution, but is really the apotheosis of the 'populist right-wing shock troops' that guys like him have been seeding for, oh, the last fifty years).
You know, to those of us that have some experience living under dictatorships, this kind of thing sounds very, very, familiar. It's more than just a rhetorical strategy: the goal is to co-opt every form of media you can.
I also note the implicit use of violence ('shock troops') and the call to nationalism. Everyone knows Goldberg's a dirty old fascist, but maybe it's time we started calling him on it a little more.
