Is Mahalo Squidoo?
Calacanis comes out swinging, noting the rise of xxx spam on Squidoo.
Hmmm. That's interesting, because from my point of view...
1) Calacanis' Mahalo has gotten a lot of hype - but it's a lot (lot, lot) like Squidoo, just with directories. That is, I can't see much of a diff between the two, and I don't expect Mahalo's outcomes to be very different from Squidoo's (apart from the fact that Jason is - ironically enough - a better marketer than Seth).
2) XXX stuff should be a part of search...for the very simple reason that it makes up a (very) significant percentage of content on the www.
I understand where Jason is trying to go with his critique, and that his heart is in the right place, but maybe, for both of these reasons, you might take it with a grain of salt.
