The Wages of Evil, Pt 191445
Link about growing backlash against useless Facebook apps.
What's the point?
When we fake an ecosystem, we remove the larger discipline at the edges that lets true ecosystems thrive. Conversely, as I've pointed out, Facebook's pseudo-platform is totally imbalanced - in favour of developers, at the expense of connected consumers.
The www is the platform - the problem with closure, in the edgeconomy, is removing the selection pressure at the edges that drives true, durable value creation.
